MEET MAVERICK

Where it all started

Victoria adopted Maverick at 9 weeks old, when she was only a few weeks into her dog training internship. She soon found out that Maverick was partially blind, and only had about 45-55% of his vision. Despite all of the challenges, Victoria made a commitment to give Maverick the best quality of life possible.

With the guidance of her amazing mentors and teachers, she took on the adventure that would eventually become the inspiration behind her very own company. Within the first two years, Maverick was highly skilled in advanced and off leash obedience, over 25 tricks, and certified in scent detection for fire arms and narcotics.

His mission

Maverick’s K9 was founded as a nonprofit with a mission to support and give back to the dog community, particularly by donating to Malinois rescues. This mission has remained a core part of who we are, even as we’ve grown and expanded our services. Today, we continue to uphold that commitment by donating to a rescue or shelter every quarter, ensuring that we help provide dogs in need with the resources, care, and training they deserve.

In addition to our financial contributions, we also offer training to families or dogs that are facing difficult circumstances. Whether it’s helping a dog with behavioral issues find a loving home or providing training for a family struggling to connect with their pet, we believe every dog deserves a chance at a better life. Our mission is rooted in the belief that by supporting these causes, we can create positive change in the lives of dogs and owners alike.

Through our work, we not only aim to provide exceptional training to dogs but also to make a difference in the lives of those who may not otherwise have access to it. Every dog, regardless of their background or situation, deserves the opportunity to thrive, and we’re honored to be part of that journey—both for the dogs we train and those in need of rescue and support.
